FoodiePages is an online marketplace for food lovers. With several interactive features and an ever-growing variety of content, they needed a site that was responsive and flexible.

Drop-Down Menus

To keep navigation simple, we created broad categories for the range of content and then developed drop-down menus so users could access more specific content directly from the navigation tool. That way, users wouldn’t be overwhelmed by options but could also get to their desired content quickly. It also allowed for content to be added or changed with ease as necessary.

Subscription & E-Commerce Features The main purpose of FoodiePages is to create a community and marketplace for people buying and selling food and related items. To meet its goal, then, the site needed an integrated subscription database and shopping cart functionality. Users can easily sign into their account or access the shopping cart from the top banner. They can also subscribe to the site for exclusive content like hand-picked recipes. On the back end, site owners can easily access and manage subscriber and customer information.
Integrated Chat To further add the personal touch and the feel of being at a farmer’s market or independent grocer, we embedded a chat feature in the site. Users can ask questions and get answers in real time at the click of a button. When site staff are unavailable, a note encourages them to leave a message for later response. This feature enhances the user’s experience of the site while providing the site owners a greater opportunity to influence and interact with visitors.
